joni and stms

Joni just returned from the Bonclarken Family Retreat brimming with stories about the amazing ministry of the Spirit of God among not only the families, but the short-term missionaries who serve them. "These are the future faces of disability ministry," said Joni, "and they are so passionate about Jesus Christ and serving the people He loves!" Mugging for a photo on the final day of retreat is, from the left, Kevin, Heidi and Stephen. Pray about joining the JAF short-term mssionary team at next year's Family Retreats!

Kevin from this pic is my son. He was moved by this week. He wasn't expecting to be blessed, only to serve. What a nice surprise for him! He is EXCITED about future camps and opportunities to serve

We have been to two retreats at Wonder Valley and our stm's were amazing young women. We have formed a friendship with one of them. I watched all the STM's, most of them young people, high school or college age, pour their hearts into their campers, and I watched them grow as people. People I would be proud to call friends. And people with whom the Lord is surely pleased.

You will never have a more rewarding, fulfilling, fun experience in life than being a STM at a Joni and Friends Family Retreat! You can make a real impact in the life of others by serving at JAF! To coin an old phrase: TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT! Promise!

Hey! That's my nephew Kevin Matthews on the left. My son Jonah Wilson was there too and they had a WONDERFUL time serving God as they served their buddies! Thanks so much for giving them this opportunity!
