Gift of WheelchairYour prayers and support opened the doors to a bright future for a young girl, Lorena, from Cuba. Born with cerebral palsy, Lorena waited 12 years for a wheelchair. This young girl, full of hopes and dreams, knows the daily pain and struggles of living with disability. Lorena’s dream is to become a nurse and help the people in her country who suffer physically.

Lorena and her mother came to our Wheels for the World outreach, and that day, your faithful partnership changed Lorena’s future forever. They were shown love and care as our volunteer Wheels team brought a wheelchair for Lorena.

“A wheelchair will take me more places—it will help me go further in life,” Lorena shared with us. A wheelchair gives “legs” to her dreams. The wheelchair you provided for Lorena restored her dignity and freedom.

Life-changing, hope-filled words of Scripture were read to Lorena and her mother before they left to make the journey back home. The wheelchair and Bible you gave showed God’s love to Lorena and her mother. Thank you!

“Your love has given me great joy and encouragement!” -Philemon 1:7
