Your Prayers Opened the Door to Alexia’s Future

Alexia with the "Joni" book in her new pediatric wheelchair“In countries like mine [Romania], having a disabled child like Alexia brings despair because of prejudice and social poverty,” said Simona, who brought her daughter to a recent Wheels for the World outreach. “We have no hope of gaining what we need for our children.” So Simona turned to God and began to pray for an answer. “Instead of hopeless, I began to find hope in God as I prayed.” And God’s hope does not disappoint! Your support and prayer supplied little Alexia with a beautiful pediatric wheelchair, which was carefully fitted to her by a Wheels team therapist. And for the very first time, Alexia is able to sit up and see clearly in front of her. With every wheelchair and Bible you give through Wheels for the World, a disabled child or adult also receives Joni’s autobiography. Her story of faith in Jesus, even in the midst of hardship, opens hearts to the Savior.
