A Unique Bond of Family Retreat Fellowship...

Sara was born missing both of her legs. All her life, having mobility meant a lot – that's why when she lost her car in an accident several years ago, it was doubly difficult. Now, getting out and about was nearly impossible. Sara became angry at God. One of our leaders kept prodding her to try our Mission Springs Family Retreat, so Sara reluctantly came. The fun and fellowship helped, but things really changed when she encountered Judy Squier (one of the camp speakers) at a foot-washing service. Like Sara, Judy was missing her legs, too. The two came together in prayer and ended up washing each other's stumps, symbolizing the unique physical and spiritual bond they enjoy in Jesus Christ. The result? Sara is back at her church, helping to get a disability ministry started! Join her by visiting our Church Relations page!

Meet two-year-old Layla, daughter of Veronica and Billy Diego (Billy supervises our fulfillment department). As you can see, this lively little girl has a heart for Wheels for the World (check out her doll in that little wheelchair). Layla is serious about praying for the people with disabilities who receive our wheelchairs and Bibles – as you can tell from her piggy bank, she's serious about supporting Wheels for the World, too! Join the fun and become a partner alongside Layla with your prayers and gifts!
